In the trials for the Los Alamitos Winter Championship, Cesar De Alba guided a determined Moonist to overtake the formidable Heza Dasha Fire to qualify for the series finale. Last weekend’s match up between Moonist and Heza Dasha Fire has Quarter Horse racing buzzing about the rivalry between the two champions. It will be no surprise to you that Overnite Capital is Team Moonist all the way!

As a five-year old, Moonist is fully mature yet maintains the lightning speed that singled him out at three and four. Cesar describes him, “Moonist was born to run, that’s what he loves to do and he does it well.” Moonist has earned just about every Quarter Horse championship title available to him since he first set foot on the track. He’s definitely a horse for the ages.

While Moonist is certainly Cesar’s marquis mount, every weekend sees Cesar riding half-a-dozen or more races. Some moments from last weekend are captured below
